The department has the following well equipped laboratories:
Electrical Machines Lab
This lab has a wide range of AC and DC machines which comprises DC Generators and Motors , single phase and three phase Induction machines, Transformers, Instruments such as Synchroscope and three phase and single phase rectifier. A separate DC power source is also provided to supply power to the DC machines.
Wiring and Winding Lab
This lab is equipped with winding machines and Wiring items. Insulation tester equipment and a transformer oil break down test kit is available.
Electrical CAED Lab
This lab is equipped with computers for students to improve their knowledge on simulation software which are mostly used in the industries.
OTHER EQUIPMENTS: 30KW SOLAR PANEL
A 30KW Solar Panel is connected in online grid with TNEB which helps our department students to gain knowledge in Renewable Energy Sources
