On March 7, 2024, Dr. Senthil Kumar, M.E., Ph.D., a Senior AI Developer at Quantanics Techserv Pvt. Ltd., Madurai, delivered a seminar on "Artificial Intelligence in Industry Perspective." The session attracted 85 students from the Computer Engineering and Information Technology departments. Dr. Senthil Kumar provided insights into AI applications and trends within various industries, emphasizing real-world impact and career opportunities. The interactive session allowed students to gain practical understanding and ask questions on AI’s future scope. On September 26, 2023, an Internal Hackathon for the Smart India Hackathon was organized, featuring expert judges including Mr. Vivek Kumar M (Assistant Professor, ECE, Sri Eshwar College of Engineering), Mrs. Angel Julie J (Assistant Professor, CSE, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education), and Mr. Kumaresan M (Assistant Professor, MECH, CMS College of Engineering). Students from all departments participated, presenting innovative project ideas across various domains. Several projects were shortlisted for the national Smart India Hackathon, highlighting promising solutions to real-world challenges. On January 23, 2024, Dr. Venningston K, Assistant Professor in CSE at the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, conducted a seminar on "Elementary Introduction to AI." The session attracted 96 students from the Computer Engineering and Information Technology departments. Dr. Venningston provided a foundational overview of Artificial Intelligence, explaining key concepts and its practical applications.
