COMPUTER ENGINEERING
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Established in 1994, the Department of Computer Engineering admits 60 students annually, with an additional 20% through lateral entry. Supported by five dedicated faculty members, the department is equipped with modern hardware, software, internet, and Wi-Fi facilities to foster effective learning.
The curriculum imparts technical knowledge across a wide spectrum of domains, including:
- Programming & Software Development: Python, C, Java, Linux, Web Programming, Data Structures, E-Publishing Tools
- Core Computing Concepts: Operating Systems, Database Management, Computer Architecture, Computer Networks & Security
- Emerging Technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Multimedia Systems, UI/UX Design
- Hardware & Fundamentals: Computer Hardware and Servicing, Basics of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
To ensure students gain practical exposure, the department integrates experiential learning into the academic journey:
- Internships: All students undergo 90 hours of industry training during their second year.
- Projects: A mini-project is completed in the fourth semester, followed by a major project in the sixth semester, enhancing hands-on skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Beyond the Classroom: Seminars, industrial visits, and workshops further bridge the gap between theory and practice.
